Hayden Panettiere's Daughter Is Sole Heir as Father Seeks Estate Control

Wladimir Klitschko is asking a Los Angeles court for temporary authority to protect the inheritance of Kaya, his 11-year-old daughter with the late actress Hayden Panettiere. Court filings say Kaya is Panettiere’s sole heir and that immediate action is needed until a permanent administrator can be appointed.

The petition cites property held by investigators, missing valuables and concerns about unauthorized access to Panettiere’s Los Angeles residence. Those concerns are allegations in the filing, but the inheritance issue itself is concrete: the estate has assets to protect and no permanent representative yet in place.

Kaya’s Status as Sole Heir Raises the Stakes of the Petition

Because Kaya is the only heir identified in the filing, any lost or damaged estate property could directly reduce what ultimately passes to her. Klitschko is asking for legal standing to safeguard assets and deal with authorities until probate administration is established.

The Filing Points to Missing Property and a Federal Investigation

The petition says some property was seized in the investigation into Panettiere’s death and that other valuables remain missing or unaccounted for. It also alleges prior unauthorized access to her home and concerns that estate property could be misappropriated.

The Request Is Temporary, Not a Final Decision Over the Estate

Klitschko is not asking the court to determine the estate’s final distribution. He is seeking temporary guardianship authority connected to Kaya’s estate so someone can preserve assets while a personal representative for Panettiere’s estate is appointed.

An Oct. 8 Hearing Will Decide the Immediate Protection Question

A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 8. The court can decide whether Klitschko receives the temporary authority he says is necessary to protect Kaya’s inheritance while the broader estate process moves forward.
