Lori Loughlin’s estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli, has asked a judge to decide whether either spouse should receive support and whether one should help pay the other’s legal fees. His October 15 response brings those financial issues into the divorce Loughlin filed in September.

The support request does not name an amount

Us Weekly reported after reviewing the filing that support would be determined if requested. The fees question also applies to either spouse; the response does not specify an amount.

The reported filing is a request for the court to address those questions - not an announcement that support has been awarded or that either spouse has been ordered to pay the other’s bills.

Loughlin identified a prenup; his response did not

Both spouses cite irreconcilable differences as the reason to end the marriage, according to Us Weekly’s reporting on their documents. But their filings do not address every issue in the same way.

Loughlin’s September 4 petition identified a prenuptial agreement. Giannulli’s response did not mention it, Us reported. The omission does not, by itself, establish that Giannulli is challenging the agreement or that a judge has found it invalid.

Their treatment of the separation date also differs. Loughlin listed August 31, 2025, while Giannulli left the date to be determined, TMZ reported. The documents therefore leave both the financial terms and the separation date without a shared position from the spouses.

A separation announced before the court filings

Loughlin and Giannulli married in November 1997 and have two adult daughters, Bella and Olivia Jade. Their separation was publicly confirmed before either of the current court filings.

In October 2025, Loughlin’s representative said the couple were living apart and that legal proceedings were not underway at that time, according to Us. Loughlin’s divorce petition followed in September 2026; Giannulli responded the next month.

Us Weekly said it sought comment from Loughlin’s representative for its October 16 report, which did not include a response to the new filing.
